2-0 last night with Virginia and Florida winning.

Won't be home til late afternoon, so here is my afternoon card:

UC Riverside (+18)
ASU has failed to cover both of their home games. They have always seemed to be a club that plays down to their competition.

ASU only beat Fullerton by 7 and Fullerton looks to be worse than Riverside.

Temple (+3')
OK, why would I take a team that lost by 25 at home to a Villanova team that was without damn near half of their team b/c of suspensions? Plus, why would I take only 3.5 on a neutral site against a very good Illinois team?

Exactly. This is way too easy to take Illinois.

Cleveland State (+15)
CSU is coached by former Tom Izzo pupil and college teammate Mike Garland.

They have a pretty good backcourt and they emphasize team defense like Izzo does.

UNC has looked impressive their first 2 games under Roy Williams, but I still think they are a young team who will be slightly erratic.

Iowa (+6')
The Hawkeyes have already played 2 games, while U of L will play their first.

I like Iowa here. Alford is always motivated in front of the "hometown" crowd in Indiana. Plus, I think Alford will want to make a really good showing here, knowing that Mike Davis and Indiana play in the second game. Let's be serious, Alford always thought he would be the next Indiana coach after Knight presumably retired.

Plus, Iowa has 4 starters back and I think they may be the surprise team in the Big 10 this year.

Siena (+1)
Pretty simple here, Duquesne shouldn't lay point(s) to anybody.

Plus, the Dukes have crosstown rival Pitt coming into the Palumbo Center on Wednesday. This is a lookahead game.

I'll hopefully have more later for the night card.
